?
A Maintenance Mechanic performs routine maintenance of equipment and machinery and helps troubleshoot and repair any mechanical or electrical problems when they arise. Responding to technical issues affecting production and maintain electrical and mechanical services through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) are one of the major tasks a maintenance technician responsible for.
They regularly survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards and also assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.

Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs.
Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
